SAFE HARBOR'S INTERN PROGRAM OFFERS A WIDE RANGE OF OPPORTUNITIES FOR CONTINUING EDUCATION AND PARTICIPATION IN OUR INTERDISCIPLINARY COASTAL RESTORATION PROJECTS.

The goal of our Intern Program is to provide supportive experiences for our interns to gain a sense of relevance by developing communication, thinking and risk assessment skills for effective environmental decision making.

intern duties

Intern duties may vary based on the skill or interests of an individual. Some internships of the past have included the following:

  • Field work (e.g. managing biomimicry in dunes, planting native vegetation)

  • Partnering in ecosystem management strategies

  • Office work

  • Contributing to and presenting educational programs


Preferred skills

  • Communication

  • Organization & accountability

  • Willingness to work outside in all weather conditions

  • Good teamwork skills

How will My internship help me grow?

Gain skills in: environmental risk assessment, tracking and assessing habitat restoration projects, professional communication, critical thinking, effective environmental decision making, community engagement

Gain knowledge of: environmental regulations, sustainable ecosystem practices on Cape Cod

 

COLLEGE CREDIT:
